This event will also be streamed live via Zoom and can be joined at www.eastersealstech.com/live (registration is required to attend in-person or online webinar)</h3><p><br></p><h3><strong><strong>Who should attend:</strong></strong> Anyone interested in learning about tools, resources and apps that are available to increase independence for individuals with age related impairments. Individuals with disabilities, educators, parents, students, and professionals can benefit from this training.</h3><p><br></p><h3><strong><strong>Why:</strong></strong> This FREE assistive technology training will provide valuable insights and practical strategies on assistive technology and resources available for individuals with age-related impairments.</h3><h3><br></h3><h3>Assistive Technology &amp; Aging Full Day Training Agenda</h3><p><strong><strong>9:00 am-9:30 am</strong></strong></p><p>Welcome and Overview presented by Josh Anderson, Director of Assistive Technology, at Easterseals Crossroads</p><p><br></p><p><strong><strong>9:30 am – 10:30 am</strong></strong></p><p>Considerations for Aging presented by Desiree Tilton, ADRC Community Outreach Supervisor, at CICOA Aging &amp; In-Home Solutions</p><p><br></p><p><strong><strong>10:45 am – 11:45 am</strong></strong></p><p>Adapted Driving presented by Petra McCarney from Therapeutic Mobility Services</p><p><br></p><p><strong><strong>11:45 am - 12:30 pm</strong></strong></p><p>Lunch (catered for in-person attendees)</p><p><br></p><p><strong><strong>12:30 pm – 1:30 pm</strong></strong></p><p>Aging in Place with Home Modifications, presented by John Kelly, Coordinator-Home Modification Services, at Easterseals Crossroads</p><p><br></p><p><strong><strong>1:30 pm – 3:00 pm</strong></strong></p><p>Assistive Technology for Aging presented by Josh Anderson, Director of Assistive Technology, at Easterseals Crossroads</p><p><br></p><h1>Important Information</h1><h3>1. CEU's will be offered for this training if you attend in person or the live webinar through <a href="https://aacinstitute.org/" title="https://aacinstitute.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">AAC Institute</a> (**please note that you must apply for CEU's within 60 days or there will be a $10 charge). We will periodically check attendance throughout the event and provide a certificate of completion when the training is completed. CEU's are not available for anyone who watches the archived video of this event.</h3><h3>2. If you require any accommodations to participate in this event, please make sure you request them 48 hours in advance. Accommodation requests must be received by 9am Tuesday prior to the event. If you need a tactile interpreter, we will need your request at least 1 1/2 weeks in advance.</h3><h3>3. Please be advised that photos may be taken at the full day training event.</h3><h3>4. Please feel free to dress casual.</h3><h3>5.
