About the speaker:

Calvin Robertson is the founder of Obcidion, a multidisciplinary design consultancy in Charlotte, North Carolina. With over 20 years of experience, he has led groundbreaking projects for brands like Walmart, Hallmark, Federal Reserve Bank, Lowe’s, and Best Buy, helping them build and scale mature product design teams. His expertise lies in leadership and experience design, where he blends design thinking, strategic planning, and execution to empower teams and drive innovation.

Beyond delivering enterprise solutions, Calvin has also led efforts to launch gaming experiences for some of these same companies—which has inspired him to develop youth programs in STEM and game development through his organization, Jubileague. Now, through Obcidion, Calvin leverages his experience through talks, workshops, and coaching sessions to guide the next generation of organizations and leaders in designing the experiences of the future.
