Pressure Control Solutions for Potable Water

  • Application and use of pressure reducing valves and systems in building potable water applications


Tech Session Speaker Bio

Steven Wortmann is a senior engineer in Applications Engineering from Victaulic. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in Lafayette College at Easton, PA. He is responsible for technical product support in the Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning (PHA), Industrial and Infrastructure markets. He as twenty plus years experience in various roles including technical support and product development, primarily in valve product lines. He hold ten patents for inventions relating to valves and fluid control. He is a member of ASHRAE and ASPE.

Hydronic College Key 2:  Differential Pressure Control

The presentation will address the challenges faced in hydronic systems and allow the participants to develop an understanding of how pressure changes in a dynamic system can affect building control, balancing and energy efficiency.


Dinner Speaker Bio

Bart Decker is a Hydronic Training Manager for IMI Hydronic Engineering Inc. He has worked in the HVAC industry in various training, sales and business development roles with focus on valves, system optimization etc..  In his past experience he has been instrumental in implementing various training programs on energy saving opportunities for engineers, contractors and end users.

Bart is a graduate of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.  Bart is an active member of ASHRAE, JEC, IDEA,HEA, National Fluid Power Society and has been a speaker at all of the above Societies.
