Do I have to be there for the whole event duration?

No, you are welcome to join any of the sessions and see what is available.

What if I don't know what to ask the volunteer about their story?

We have "conversation starters" that can help you ask questions if you are unsure where to start.

What if I only have a few questions - do I have to spend the whole session in conversation?

Not at all, you are welcome to ask the questions you have and end the session.

What if I feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable during a conversation.

This would be a rare occurrence, but all parties are allowed to end a conversation at any given moment or ask the advise or support from the team.

This is a free and open event. There are no charges. We really want anyone to be able to take part in the experience.

Will there be something to purchase to eat or drink?

There are shops in the vicinity of the event space where you can purchase your own refreshments, there will be no specific catering for the general public at the event.
