Join us for a delightful gathering of Asian Wander Women in the Bay Area as we come together to bond over dumplings and calligraphy. In our busy lives, we often find ourselves caught up in our thoughts and worries. This event aims to create an opportunity for us to step away from our hectic minds and instead focus on creating with our hands!
Through the act of making dumplings and practicing calligraphy, we'll engage in a tactile and mindful experience that allows us to be present in the moment and connect with ourselves and each other in a meaningful way.
Dumplings: We'll begin the event by making and enjoying delicious dumplings together. As we shape the dough and fill each dumpling with care, we'll have the chance to chat, share stories, and bond over this beloved aspect of our culture.
Calligraphy: After satisfying our appetites, we'll explore the beautiful world of calligraphy. Tian Tian will guide us through the basics of this ancient art form, teaching us how to create stunning brushwork. As we focus on each stroke, we'll let go of our worries and immerse ourselves in the calming nature of calligraphy.
Throughout the event, there will be opportunities to share our experiences, discuss our passions and interests, and connect with fellow Asian Wander Women who understand the unique challenges and joys of navigating the world as Asian women.
Whether you're a Bay Area native or new to the region, this event offers a chance to expand your network, engage in a fun and relaxing activity, and find support within our community. This is a donation based event to cover the cost of food and calligraphy supplies.
