Asian American History, Identity, and Cross-Racial Solidarity Workshop
Gain a foundational knowledge of Asian American history! This workshop will help you establish connections between history, your identity, and your perspectives on issues in the Asian American community. You will delve into a deeper understanding of Asian American history, identity, and the possibilities for cross-racial solidarity.

Meet Our Facilitator
Jeremy Chan-Kraushar (he/him): Jeremy began his career as an English and Math teacher for students with learning disabilities in a public school in Brooklyn. He identifies as a biracial, Chinese, white, Jewish-American cisgender man and holds an M.Ed in Special Education, an MPA with focus areas in public policy and public administration, and a J.D. focusing on civil rights and education.
Jeremy has coordinated, managed, and developed multiple initiatives and programs for the New York City Department of Education including the Competency Collaborative, the historic Implicit Bias Awareness Initiative, and Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Education implementation programming. He consults and coaches full time and has personally facilitated workshops in-person and virtually for over 15,000 participants.
