The mission of Friday Night Folk at All Souls is to joyfully support social and environmental justice by bringing live traditional, contemporary and multicultural folk music to the larger community in a welcoming and accessible performance space.In 1989,Friday Night Folk concerts beganbringing quality folk music and performers toat All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation in New London, CT. Folk music fans from all over New England have enjoyed the music of artists includingRichard Shindell, John Gorka, Patty Larkin, Geoff Kaufman,Kim and Reggie Harris,Utah Philips, Cheryl Wheeler, Gordon Bok, Bill Staines, Bill Morrissey, Vance Gilbert, Aztec Two-Step, Ida Red, Work o’ the Weavers, The Burns Sisters, Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion, John Flynn and John Wort Hannam, and emma’s revolution,Join us for a lively evening of true folk music – traditional and new!

Ash &amp; Eric (formerly ‘The Promise is Hope’) have never shied away from life’s hard edges. Hailing from the gritty heart of the Industrial Revolution -- Worcester, MA -- they find beauty in the challenge of being artists in this stubbornly-independent city. Their music reflects the hope and pain we all experience, sung in voices as vulnerable and honest as their lyrics. Their songs feel like a warm welcome, a shoulder to lean on and a hand to hold at the end of a long day. In addition to top tier writing, their warm harmonies, swirling acoustic guitars, and easy stage presence have earned them a dedicated following in the North East folk scene. Covid precautions have been lifted — welcome back! Refreshments will be available at last (that’s our plan!).
