Join us for a fun afternoon playdate at the fully fenced-in playground at St. David’s in Minnetonka! This is a great opportunity for kids to play safely and parents to connect. Whether you're a regular or it's your first time, all are welcome to join the fun!

Who is this playdate for?

Families with children on the autism spectrum—of all ages. Toddlers, young kids, and older kiddos are all welcome.

Do I need to register in advance?

If you can, please do! It helps us know how many to expect.

Is there a cost to attend?

The playground is open to the public evenings and weekends!

What kind of activities will there be?

The St. David’s Center playground in Minnetonka offers nature-inspired spaces, sensory-friendly features, and equipment designed for kids of all abilities.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just yourselves! If your child has a favorite sensory toy or comfort item, feel free to bring that along.

Can siblings or other family members come?

Of course! We want the whole family to feel included, so siblings are more than welcome.

Is food allowed?

Food and drinks aren’t allowed inside the playground, but you can bring a snack for your child to enjoy in the seating area outside the gym. Coffee for parents is always welcome!

By attending this event, participants agree to accept all inherent risks associated with the activities. The event organizers are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that occur. Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times.

Anna Elder is a mother to two boys, including a toddler with autism and developmental delays. She understands the unique challenges and joys this journey brings. This personal experience has not only enriched her empathy but also inspired her to help other parents navigate the complexities of autism. Anna actively leads a Facebook group for the Twin Cities area, focusing on building community through organized meet-ups and playdates. Her goal is to support families by creating a network where they can share experiences and insights in a supportive environment. In her real estate career, Anna specializes in helping families, especially those with children on the spectrum, find homes in Minnesota that suit their specific needs.
