Presented by: Dr. David E. Fraser, Ed.D

Dr. David E. Fraser, Ed.D — is the Chief of Staff for District 5 Supervisor Shanelle Scales-Preston and is a lecturer at CSU East Bay. He is also the author of, "Grantcraft: The Practitioner's Guide to Strategic Funding for Public Service, Healthcare, and the Nonprofit Sector".

Purpose

This full-day seminar is designed to strengthen relationships with local agencies and expand our regional impact into neighboring cities. By offering accessible, high-quality training in grant writing, we aim to empower local organizations to pursue funding opportunities more effectively.

Description

During this immersive in-person session, you’ll gain valuable tips, tools, and strategies to help you stand out in the competitive world of grant writing. Learn how to structure proposals effectively, highlight your strengths, and communicate your ideas with clarity and impact. This is a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of the grant process and build your confidence in crafting compelling proposals.

Cost

This event will be offered free of charge* to make it accessible to all nonprofit organizations and governement entitities.

*Due to limited space, we that only two representatives maximum attend from your organization.

Sponsorship Opportunity

We are currently seeking sponsorship support to help cover the cost of the seminar and hospitality. We are still seeking sponsors for the Silver, Gold and Platinum packages.

Options include:

  • Platinum package – A $1,000 donation includes an opportunity to speak at the start of the seminar, a table for use at the event for your marketing materials and utilizing your logo on all marketing materials.
  • Gold package - A $200 donation includes a table for use at the event and utilizing your logo on all marketing materials.
  • Silver package – A $100 donation includes utilizing your logo on all marketing materials.
  • In-kind donations - Coffee, snacks, and meal donation inclusions vary but always include utilization of your logo on all marketing materials.

As a cost-saving measure, we plan to ask attendees to bring their own lunches or visit nearby restaurants during the break unless sponsorship allows us to provide meal options.
