About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Wish-a-Poem is an interactive installation by artist Yucef Merhi that invites 3 users at 3 libraries across Miami to co-create a poem by rubbing a magic lamp. Inspired by the magic lamp's literary roots, Wish-a-Poem positions the object as a form of decolonial technology within the context of AI. Yucef Merhi is the inaugural winner of Technically Poetic, O, Miami’s new $30,000 commission for artists working at the intersection of poetry and technology.

Please join us for this special artist talk with Yucef at the Aventura Branch Library.

  • Saturday, May 11th | 2-3:30pm
  • Miami Beach Regional Library
  • Free and open to the public
