Artificial Intelligence - The First Step

Born out of a desire that technology professionals in Technopark, Kerala, should not lag behind when it comes to the futuristic technologies, FAYA:80 was kick-started in June, 2013 and is organized on the first Wednesday of every month at the Floor of Madness, FAYA in Technopark, Trivandrum.FAYA:80 celebrated its 50th edition in July, 2017 with DISRUPT KERALA 2017, a day-long tech event, with a lineup of global speakers and visionaries. DISRUPT KERALA 2017 also saw the launch of two separate ongoing chapters of FAYA:80 in Kochi and Kozhikode, which are conducted on the second and third Wednesdays of the month respectively.

The last decade saw the building of a mobile-first world where smartphones took control over the advancements in technology and lifestyle. However, all technology giants have now shifted sail to focus on an AI-first world, unlocking capabilities that were the stuff of science fiction in the past. Google Assistant, Amazon Echo, Facebook Spaces and Tesla’s self-driving cars are all testimonies to this technology shake-up.
But what exactly is this Artificial Intelligence? And how is it related to all the other terms that you hear in association with it, such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Neural Networks? What are their applications? 
 To unlock answers to all these questions and more, join us for Artificial Intelligence: How Machines can Make Decisions, the 7th edition of FAYA:80 Kozhikode. It will be an opportunity for all web and mobile application developers, testers, technical managers and other technology enthusiasts to take their first steps into the world of Artificial Intelligence.

About Speakers
Savio Victor is an AI enthusiast and entrepreneur, co-founder of air.ai and KnightClan. A jack of all trades, he has dabbled in web development and web designing before venturing into the realm of Artificial Intelligence.
Pranoy Radhakrishnan is a Deep Learning researcher and co-founder of air.ai. The entrepreneurial bug bit him during his stint as a Software Engineer at Good Methods Global.
About FAYA:80 (Read as FAYA PORT 80)
FAYA:80 is a monthly technology hangout for technology enthusiasts by technology enthusiasts to break the ice, analyse and evaluate emerging trends in technology. Held on the first, second and third Wednesdays of the month at Trivandrum, Kochi and Kozhikode respectively, the series stands for Free Knowledge Sharing and aims to provide an open platform for entrepreneurs, developers and technology professionals to keep at par with the latest tools and technologies.
