It will be in the parking lot of Atta inc, creatively paying homage to the rich history of Chelsea factories and art scene. Atta inc, at 450 West 31st Street in Manhattan, is one of the few original factory buildings remaining, which used to be home to the Runkel Brothers chocolate factory. Its legacy continues today as one of the only art fabrication studios in Manhattan. It stands as an artifact of New York’s former Chocolate district and old Chelsea manufacturing industry that has vanished before our eyes. Performances follow the opening for sculptor Karen Atta who runs Atta inc.Hiro KoneHiro Kone is a New York based musician and producer: she uses a combination of hardware, synths, and modular to cultivate her sound - a visceral meditation on rhythm, noise, and melody that has seen her release on leading experimental labels including DAIS Records and BANK Records. No stranger to manipulating macabre disorientations into enchanting new shapes, her music exposes the unsettling and sublime. Taking a deconstructive approach she is known to draw upon a combination of modular synthesis, noise and field recordings. In September 2021, she released “Silvercoat the throng” on DAIS. It captures Hiro Kone at the peak of their powers, alchemizing disruption and decomposition into regenerative interior worlds: “Within the darkness and absence is an opportunity for discovery.”<a href="https://instagram.com/hk_patchbae" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@hk_patchbae</a>Chaka BensonChaka Benson grew up on a diverse diet of Philly music ranging from Schooly D to Sun Ra. The Philly streets thrum and echo with improvisation and DIY spirit. This simple aesthetic informs his music and artistic approach. He uses modular and video synths to execute this vision.<a href="https://instagram.com/chakabenson" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@chakabenson</a>MAMA is the collaborative sound works of ÉMU + insomniac hotel.<a href="https://instagram.com/emuaudiovisual" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@emuaudiovisual</a> <a href="http://www.instgram.com/insomniachotel" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@insomniachotel</a>TestuTestu Collective is an NYC-based art group founded by Dan Tesene and Serena Stucke in 2017. They create performances to shift the audience’s perspectives by applying concepts from expanded cinema and intermedia. Their work reimagines visual systems and sonic environments through a combination of custom-made videos, experimental sound worlds, architectural elements, and sculptural movement. Testu Collective’s approach to creating performances is to challenge the traditional hierarchical relationship between the audience and performer/stage. Specifically during Covid, they foster community and connect visual and sonic artists from around the globe through their curations and live streamed performances.<a href="http://www.instagram.com/testucollective" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@testucollective</a>Nava DunkelmanNava Dunkelman is a percussionist and improviser based in Brooklyn, NY. Her musical approach is innovative and dynamic, combining virtuosity and intuition. Meticulous in an intrinsic way, she uses her distinctive sound pallet to explore and give life to a vast spectrum of musical possibilities. Nava&#x27;s current projects are electro-percussion experimental noise duo IMA with Amma Ateria and percussion duo NOMON with her sister Shayna Dunkelman.<a href="http://www.instagram.com/nldunk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@nldunk</a>Paloma KopPaloma Kop is a video and sound artist using feedback, electronic hardware, and hybrid media processes to produce compositions, installations, and performances. She deconstructs the boundaries between material space and electronic space, and is interested in the universalities between natural phenomena, computing, and chaos. She holds an MFA in Electronic Arts from Alfred University and has performed at events such as Ibrida*Pluri Festival, Ann Arbor Film Festival, and Ambient Church.<a href="http://www.instagram.com/palomakop" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@palomakop</a>ÉMUÉMU aka Maria Takeuchi creates sonic and visual poems, merging organismic soundscapes with generative art and illuminating objects inspired by nature.
