NYC H2O’s mission is to inspire and educate New Yorkers of all ages to learn about, enjoy and protect their city’s local water ecology. Through providing public and school programs at historic reservoirs, parklands, watersheds, bays, rivers, and wetlands, we encourage diverse citizens to advocate for responsible public policy. Our activities promote science-based knowledge of New York’s local ecosystems and of what is needed for urban water resilience in a time when climate change impact continues to escalate.

Join NYC H2O  for a volunteer cleanup on Arthur Kill Road in Staten Island!

4775 Arthur Kill Rd

Join NYC H2O, Natural Resources Protective Association, City Councilman Frank Morano, and DSNY for a cleanup along Arthur Kill Road!As one of the lengthiest roads in Staten Island, Arthur Kill Rd intersects with multiple historical landmarks. The road is parallel to its namesake waterway Arthur Kill. Arthur Kill is a tidal strait within the New York-New Jersey Harbor Estuary.The cleanup will run from 10 AM to 12 PM. We will meet at the intersection of North Bridge Street and Arthur Kill Road in Staten Island. We will clean along the road towards Veterns Road West. Please note: the meeting location is listed as 4775 Arthur Kill Road because Eventbrite requires an exact address, we will meet across the freeway at the intersection of North Bridge Street and Arthur Kill Road. Gloves, garbage bags, and pickers will be provided.Thanks to City Councilman Frank Morano for his generous support of NYC H2O's environmental stewardship programs.
