ArtBash Live: Fall Fun

Since its founding in 1984, The Contemporary Jewish Museum (The CJM) has distinguished itself as a welcoming place where visitors can connect with one another through dialogue and shared experiences with the arts. Ever changing, The CJM is a non-collecting institution that partners with national and international cultural institutions to present exhibitions that are both timely and relevant and represent the highest level of artistic achievement and scholarship.

<p>Celebrate fall with The CJM’s ArtBash Live! Pick up a free ArtKit filled with exciting supplies and join us to celebrate the Jewish fall holidays of Sukkot and Simchat Torah through creative fun. Tell a friend! People of all ages and backgrounds are invited to join in the fun and make art with us. </p><p>Register today to reserve your ArtKit (available while supplies last), and pick up from one of several Bay Area locations on Thursday, September 23. Then, tune in live via Zoom on Sunday, September 26 to hang out, create, and celebrate with us!  </p><p>Can’t make it to the live event? You can still join in the fun—grab an ArtKit and tune into the recorded event starting October 1 on our Stories page! Plus, if you aren’t able to pick up an ArtKit, you can still gather the supplies* at home and tune in to create with us! You’ll still need to register  for the live Zoom event. </p><p>*List of supplies provided below </p>

<h3>ArtKit Pickup: Thursday, September 23 | 2–5pm </h3><p>The CJM will provide an ArtKit containing project supplies that you can pick up at your choice of several locations throughout the Bay Area*. ArtKits are limited to one per ArtBash personparticipant. </p><p>* Please note that pick-up times may vary between locations. </p><p><strong>Pickup Locations: </strong></p><ul><li>The Contemporary Jewish Museum, 736 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94103: Available Thursday-Saturday, Sept 23-25 | 11am - 5pm </li><li>Beth Sholom, 301 14th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94118 | 2–5pm </li><li>Netivot Shalom, 1316 University Ave, Berkeley, CA 94702 | 2–5pm </li><li>JCC Marin, 200 N San Pedro Rd, San Rafael, CA 94903 | 2–5pm </li><li>Contra Costa Jewish Day School, 955 Risa Rd, Lafayette | 2–5pm </li><li>Peninsula JCC, 800 Foster City Blvd, Foster City | 2–5pm </li></ul><h3>ArtBash Live: Sunday, September 26 | 10am-11am </h3><p>Tune in via Zoom on Sunday, September 26 at 10am with your ArtKit supplies for a live, guided art-making session. The virtual session will also be recorded and posted on our Stories page by October 1, 2021. </p><p><strong>What’s in the ArtKit? </strong></p><p>If you can’t make the trip to pick up an ArtKit, you can still gather the following supplies and tune in to create with us! The ArtKit includes: </p><ul><li>One cardboard base (approximately 5’’X7’’) </li><li>Small amount mModeling cClay (Plasteline) </li><li>Ten paper straws </li><li>Assortment of colorful tissue paper (ten 2’’X10’’ strips) </li><li>Glue stick </li><li>Felt sheet (approximately 5’’X7’’) </li><li>Assortment of sticky felt shapes </li><li>One Chopstick  </li></ul><p>Gather from home: Scissors </p><h3>Accessibility</h3><p>
The CJM strives to provide a welcoming and accessible environment to all who attend our digital programming and online content. Live ASL interpretation will be included for this program.
