Through visual-arts play we make discoveries about materials, ideas, and each other. Children and their caregivers use clay, washable markers, paper, light boxes, pipe cleaners (chenille stems), tape, card stock, among many other art materials to design, build, invent stories, and imagine new worlds. Child-led play allows children to follow their interests, build skills in meaningful ways and exercise creative thinking. These classes prepare students for visual arts projects they may be interested in at the next level of their development. A grown-up must be present for their child.
