Overview

Dive into creativity and discovery at our hands-on Art & Science Creative Workshop—where ideas come alive!

🤖 The Art of AI

How does a machine see the world? Grab some paper, make some noise, and find out!

Ever wondered how an AI actually "thinks"? It doesn't see things like we do—it sees data and pattern. In this fast-paced, hands-on workshop, we’re going to peel back the screen and become the teachers.

⚡ The Mission:

  • Sonic Training: Can a computer hear the difference between a snap, a clap, and a whisper? You’ll train a machine to recognise your specific sounds in real-time.
  • Pattern Recognition: Explore how AI "sees". We’ll look at feather patterns and organic shapes to see how machines categorise the natural world.
  • Bringing Data to Life: We’re moving from the screen into the 3D world. Using AI-supported data, we’ll explore how AI helps us see how the natural world is changing. You’ll then use paper-folding techniques to turn these environmental "data points" into physical sculptures, and help build an art installation.

📋 Event Intel:

  • Ages: Designed for curious minds aged 8–14.
  • Family Lab: This is a collaborative event. Adults must be accompanied by a child, and every person in your group (adults + kids) needs their own ticket to ensure we have enough space and gear!
  • The Goal: No coding experience needed. We’re here to demystify AI through art and experimentation.

Food and drink provided, please inform organisers of any dietary requirements
