Art Journaling Workshop

Discover the joy of art journaling in this relaxed, hands-on class. Each session will explore approachable techniques—such as mixed-media layering, collage, mark-making, lettering, and intuitive drawing.
Whether you’re looking to spark creativity or build a mindful practice, this class offers a supportive space to experiment without pressure.
Come ready to explore, play, and rediscover the joy of creating in your own unique way. No experience is necessary.

Students will need to bring their own supplies, or purchase supplies prior to class start date either in-store or online at plazaart.com. See supply list below.
WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:
Tuesday, Feb. 3 - 1 pm to 3pm
Tuesday, Feb. 10 - 1 pm to 3pm
Tuesday, Feb. 17 - 1 pm to 3pm
Tuesday, Feb. 24 - 1 pm to 3pm
Tuesday, Mar. 3 - 1 pm to 3pm

Supplies List:
Students will need for the first day
- A Journal - preferably one with watercolor paper
- Variety of your favorite pens and pencils
Students will need for later classes.
- Markers
- Paints - watercolor and/or acrylic
- Paint brushes
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- Water container
- Pens (such as Microns)
- Colored pencils
About Dana:
Dana Zatman is a mixed media artist and instructor. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design at the University of Michigan. Dana worked in the corporate world of advertising as an Art Director before becoming a full time studio artist and instructor. She has found joy in sharing her passion for art with others of all ages – from children to seniors. She teaches regularly at workshops and classes throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
