Each session will explore approachable techniques—such as mixed-media layering, collage, mark-making, lettering, and intuitive drawing.Whether you’re looking to spark creativity or build a mindful practice, this class offers a supportive space to experiment without pressure. Come ready to explore, play, and rediscover the joy of creating in your own unique way. No experience is necessary. *Note About Supplies:Students will need to bring their own supplies, or purchase supplies prior to class start date either in-store or online at plazaart.com. WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:Tuesday, Feb. 3 - 1 pm to 3pmTuesday, Feb. 10 - 1 pm to 3pmTuesday, Feb. 17 - 1 pm to 3pmTuesday, Feb. 24 - 1 pm to 3pmTuesday, Mar. 3 - 1 pm to 3pmTuesday, Mar. 10 - 1 pm to 3pm Supplies List:Students will need for the first day<ul><li>A Journal - preferably one with watercolor paper</li><li>Variety of your favorite pens and pencils</li></ul>Students will need for later classes.<ul><li>Markers</li><li>Paints - watercolor and/or acrylic</li><li>Paint brushes</li><li>Glue stick</li><li>Scissors</li><li>Water container</li><li>Pens (such as Microns)</li><li>Colored pencils</li></ul>

About Dana:Dana Zatman is a mixed media artist and instructor. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in graphic design at the University of Michigan. Dana worked in the corporate world of advertising as an Art Director before becoming a full time studio artist and instructor. She has found joy in sharing her passion for art with others of all ages – from children to seniors. She teaches regularly at workshops and classes throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
