TheAmerican Sephardi Federation, a Partner of the landmarkCenter for Jewish History, proudly preserves and promotes the history, traditions, and rich mosaic culture of Greater Sephardic communities as an integral part of the Jewish experience. ASF hosts high-profileevents&exhibitions, produces widely-read online (Sephardi World WeeklyandSephardi Ideas Monthly) & print (The Sephardi Report) publications, supports research, scholarship (see:ASF’s 2018 Broome & Allen Fellowship and Scholarship Recipients), and theNational Sephardic Library & Archives, and represents the Sephardi voice in diplomatic and Jewish communal affairs as a member of theConference of Presidents of Major American Jewish OrganizationsandWorld Jewish Congress.

Marco Cordova, a young Sephardic Jew from Turkey, came to America to make his fortune. Bayla Keigelman, a fragile Ashkenazi girl from Russia, arrived fleeing a pogrom. Their meeting seemed written in the stars until tradition declared their love forbidden.
