About this event

Join us for this exciting one-day performance in beautiful historic downtown Ventura. Follow dancers through new pathways and engage with the rich history of Ventura. This traveling performance will take the audience on a short walk through several iconic landmarks of Ventura. Performances are from 1:00 pm to 1:25 pm and 3:00 pm to 3:25 pm.

This performance draws inspiration from the tiled fountains, the ancestors of this region, and the gigantic Morteon Fig tree. Similar to the tile pieces, it is only as a whole that we see the unique work of art we all make through our interconnectedness as a society. The goal of this performance is to highlight our differences and what brings us together as a whole to form a community. The ancient Egyptians believed the fig tree's roots represented the past, the trunk the present, and the leaves and branches the future. Join us on a contemplative meditative walking experience as we witness professional dancers guide us on this journey.

Directed, Choreographed, and produced by the founder of Performative Pop-ups, Olivia Mia Orozco Saper. Performers include Jade Barth, Melanie Bizzoco, and Nina Lemus.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes. When you arrive at Mission Park please meet by the tile mural on Main Street in front of the San Buenaventura Mission. Please leave your furry friends at home.

Free all-ages event. Donations are strongly encouraged to support the artists.
