The Volusia County Explore Volusia program invites you to wade in the waters of Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve. We’ll use dip nets and sein nets to study the aquatic life living amongst the mangroves in these salt marsh areas.

** Important note: Please arrive 15 minutes prior to complete a waiver. Waivers must be completed in full to participate in the program.

ACTIVITY: Wading in the water and using dip nets and sein nets to catch aquatic animals

RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered.

TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.

AGES: All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes that can get wet, bathing suits or clothing that can get wet

WHAT TO BRING: water, bug spray, sunscreen

FACILITIES: There will be a port-a-potty but no running water.
