What is the procession of costumed community members?

Community members are invited to create aquatic costumes in ArtYard’s Aqualumina Workshop in the leadup to the event or make your own costumes at home! All are welcome!

What if I didn’t make a costume in the Aqualumina Workshop?

Accepted Answer

You’re encouraged to come wear an aquatic-themed costume or bring a homemade lantern.

Do I need to register for Aqaualumina?

Accepted Answer

Registration is strongly recommended to limit overcrowding and ensure adequate parking, facilities, and public safety measures are in place to keep the community safe. Registration is free, and donations are gratefully accepted to help keep the cost of ArtYard’s programming affordable to all.

Is Aqualumina rain or shine?

We have a raindate of the following day on Sunday, May 10. In the event of inclement weather on Saturday, we will update our website and social media, and send an email to registered attendees the morning. If inclement weather is forecast both days, we may adapt the plan or cancel.

Are children welcome at Aqualumina?

The Aqualumina Festival is fun for all ages.

What is the procession route like?

Accepted Answer

The procession includes dirt pathways that may be challenging for people with limited mobility. The majority of revelers will have illuminated lanterns and objects to light the way. Volunteers posted all along the route will guide you on where to turn and when to keep things moving along.
