Refugee Empowerment Center (REC) provides holistic and culturally effective services that empower newcomers to thrive. Last year they welcomed over 600 refugees! Volunteers will help set up homes (moving furniture, cleaning, etc.) & could welcome new families at the airport or help grocery shop.
Interested participants must pre-sign up on eventbrite. We meet in the SCSJ and transportation is provided.

Leadership Onsite:
Creighton/ SCSJ student leaders(s) will direct the volunteer group by dividing tasks to maximize efficiency.

Dress code: Please wear comfortable, modest clothing that you can do physical labor in. Tennis shoes preferred.
