For thousands of years, cultures around the world have used basketry to craft durable, everyday vessels from materials close at hand. In this hands-on class, you’ll carry on that tradition while gaining the skills to make your own sturdy, attractive basket to take home and use for years to come. Join us in making a sturdy basket designed for carrying apples or any other fruit. It will be built with a swing handle to make it easy to carry. Size is 12" in diameter and 7" high.

Instructor Bio: I have been crafting & creating since I can remember, first learning to crochet at the age of 9, then being taught to knit by my grandmother and how to sew by my mother. I took a basket making class 30 years ago and fell in love with the process and especially the end product. I soon began selling the baskets at a local shop and teaching classes. I'm excited to share this craft with others. I've been homesteading for many years creating as much as I can a self-sufficient lifestyle, raising chickens and tending to various gardens of vegetables, herbs, and flowers.

Class needs a minimum of 2 attendees to run.
