The Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Health Equity Lecture 2025 will feature Nadia Islam, PhD from NYU as the keynote speaker. Dr. Islam is renowned for her work in community-based participatory research, focusing on reducing health disparities in the APIDA communities. Her research emphasizes chronic disease prevention, including cardiovascular health, diabetes management, and promoting health equity through culturally tailored interventions.

During the event, Karen Jiobu from the Asian American Community Services will be recognized with an award for her significant contributions to addressing Hepatitis B and tuberculosis in minority communities in Columbus.
