Lecture Title: Predicting and mitigating risk in implant prosthodontics: how far have we come?

We have been placing and restoring implants for close to 40 years. While implant and prosthetic designs have evolved in the face of complication reporting, our understanding and assessment of patient-specific risk remains underdeveloped. This lecture will provide an overview of the tools available for assessment of prosthetic and aesthetic risk in implant dentistry. In addition, I will outline the restorative choices I am making in light of our understanding of the most frequent implant complications.
