Milwaukee's Finest Scholarship Foundation honors 2024 Award Recipients

More than 300 students applied for scholarship funding throughout Milwaukee County

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee’s Finest Scholarship Foundation (MFSF) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2024 MFSF Scholarship Awards. In partnership with local businesses, organizations, and community members, MFSF will award local high school seniors with the Milwaukee’s Finest Scholarship up to $2,000 each. More than 300 students from 41 different high schools applied for funding, making Milwaukee’s Finest one of the most competitive scholarship opportunities in the county.

Student applications were scored and reviewed by a Scholarship Review Panel consisting of 15 local parents, educators, college students, and city officials. Applicants were required to have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5, participate in extracurricular activities, and demonstrate a need for funding.

The 2024 Milwaukee’s Finest Scholarship Award Recipients are listed below:

  • Mia Moore - Rufus King High School
  • Paulino Ornelas - St. Augustine Preparatory Academy
  • Tiana Thompson - Rufus King High School

  • Yuritzi Alanis - Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Milwaukee
  • Zion Owusu-Yeboa - Ronald Reagan High School

About Milwaukee's Finest Scholarship Foundation:

Founded in 2016, Milwaukee’s Finest Scholarship Foundation (MFSF) has assisted several young professionals pursuing their dreams in higher education by providing a one-time gift of up to $2,000 per recipient to Milwaukee County youth. MFSF also partners with various colleges and universities to offer intensive internship programs for current college students who hope to gain real-world experience in event planning, finance, marketing, and communications.
