The Annual Meeting of the Corporation will begin at 6:30pm at Community Boating in the Wolfson Function Room.
At this year’s meeting, we will be electing three members to fill 3-year teams on the board of directors. You can view current board members’ biographies and terms on the CBI webpage. Although a knowledge of sailing and of CBI’s tradition continues to be valuable, in today’s complex nonprofit world we are also looking for Board members with financial, legal, marketing, fundraising, and other professional skills and personal connections. If you are considering running for the Board, we urge you to have your statement included in this year’s documents. Please send submissions of candidacy to secretary@community-boating.com by October 13th.
Your statement should address:
- Why you want to join the Board.
- Why CBI is important to you, and what has been your experience with CBI.
- What capabilities you bring to the Board, including work experience, and work on other boards and organizations.
- What issue(s) you would like to focus on as a board member.
A broadcast link can be made available upon request, however, in person attendance will be required for voting and participation in discussion.
