After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, CAC is excited to welcome back the community for a special open house. Join us at The Annual Breakfast and connect with artists, curators, collectors, and art enthusiasts from around the world, while getting a glimpse into what’s happening in Chicago’s art scene. This year, three exhibitions will be on view featuring BOLT and HATCH residents, as well as the 2022 Newcity Breakout Artists. The HATCH group exhibition &quot;Timely Sanctification,&#x27;&#x27; presents artists-in-residence Jade Williams and Gabriel Chalfin-Piney, and is curated by Cristobal Alday. The BOLT solo exhibition &quot;Ode to the Unclaimed Dead&quot; presents new work by Selva Aparicio. On the occasion of The Annual Breakfast, CAC will unveil &quot;The Newcity Breakout Artists of 2022,&quot; a group exhibition of the next generation of image makers in Chicago. In addition to the three exhibitions, CAC will open its studio spaces to the public to engage with the current BOLT artists-in-residence: Laleh Motlagh, Lola Ogbara, Michael Cuadrado, R. Treshawn Williamson, Sal Moreno, and Tulika Ladsariya.
