The Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification, administered by AVIXA, is recognized worldwide as the leading A/V credential. Earning this certification demonstrates your technical proficiency and professionalism and increases your credibility and marketability with clients.

As part of a complete study plan, the CTS Prep Course from Anixter and Legrand can help you prepare to pass the CTS certification exam. This intensive three-day review of professional A/V knowledge is intended for candidates who have a solid grasp of A/V essentials. The CTS Prep Course requires completion of reading assignments and an online self-assessment to demonstrate your understanding of the essentials of A/V, prior to taking the course.

Note: This course does not provide the exam. Students must apply for the credential with InfoComm and schedule to take the exam individually at an authorized testing center.

Course Materials

Student Guide Book — Course participants will receive a printed copy of the Student Guide Book (included with registration).

CTS Prep Guide Handbook — Course participants must also have a copy of the CTS Prep Guide Handbook (not included with registration). Participants must read and understand chapters 3 to 10 before the course begins. This book can be purchased as a hard copy, which comes with a full PDF electronic copy, or it can be purchased as a Kindle e-book.

Calculators, additional study materials and supplies will be provided by Anixter and Legrand.

Classes will take place over 3 day, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
