Animezing!: Magic Boy

The Japan Information & Culture Center (JICC) is a part of thePublic Affairs Section of the Embassy of Japan in Washington D.C. The JICC's goal is to promote better understanding of Japan and Japanese culture by providing a wide range of information andeventsto the American public.We are located on the ground floor of 1150 18th St. in downtown Washington, D.C. Visitors to our center will enjoy the modern Japanese ambiance and the many events held in our facilities, which include a 130-seat auditorium.

<H4 CLASS="MsoNoSpacing">From the legendary Toei Animation studio comes the first full- length animated feature produced in Japan to reach the shores of the United States!</H4>
Magically gifted boy Sasuke lives in peace, deep in the forest with his animal pals and Oyu, his elder sister. After their forest sanctuary is violated by a demon witch who devours one of Sasuke's animal companions, Sasuke vows vengeance. Leaving the forest, he sets out to master his magical gifts, making a pilgrimage to the home of the wizard Hakuunsai. While Sasuke learns the ways of magic, Yakusha, the demon witch, terrorizes the countryside, and Sasuke works to complete his training in time. 
Magic Boy, aka Shonen Sarutobi Sasuke, is a classic piece of anime history - the first full-length animated feature produced in Japan to reach the shores of the United States.

No admission or re-entry will be permitted after doors close at 7:00PM or when seating is filled, whichever occurs first. Registered guests will be seated on a first come, first served basis.
