Android Development: What's New with Notifications?

More so than many APIs in Android, the Notification system has undergone a fair bit of change in the past few years, accelerating in 2014 with the introduction of Android Wear and Android 5.0. In this hour-long webinar, we will explore some of these newer capabilities and how you can take advantage of them in your Android applications. In particular, we will explore what you need to consider with regards to your notifications for users of Android Wear and Android 5.0 devices, so that you do not annoy those users.

This is an online event, hosted using <A TITLE="Dozeo" HREF="http://www.dozeo.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">a Dozeo meeting space</A>. It should work on any desktop browser with Adobe Flash 11.5 support. Notably, this means that Linux users will likely need Google Chrome (not Chromium) to get the Flash support. Audio for the presentation will also be online, so speakers or headphones are strongly encouraged. Groups wishing to attend are welcome to do so -- the tickets are per-connection to the meeting space, not per-person.
