Andre Roy

There are great guitarists... and then there are musicians like André Roy.

A master of the rare 7-string guitar, André is one of only a handful of performers in the United States to have truly mastered this remarkable instrument. The result is a rich, orchestral sound that allows him to move effortlessly between melody, harmony, bass lines, and breathtaking improvisation, often making a single guitar sound like an entire ensemble.

Originally from Montréal, André began touring with recording artists while still in his early teens. After studying music at McGill University, he earned a prestigious Canada Council grant to continue his education at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston. It was there that a professor recognized his extraordinary talent and introduced him to the 7-string guitar, an instrument that would become his signature voice.

Today, André is celebrated for something few musicians can claim: remarkable mastery across virtually every style of music. Jazz, classical, blues, Latin, rock, pop, R&B, flamenco, and original compositions all flow naturally from his fingertips. Add to that a smooth, expressive vocal style, and every performance becomes a journey through a lifetime of musical influences.

Whether he's delivering a lyrical jazz standard, an intricate classical arrangement, a soulful blues tune, or a crowd-pleasing rock favorite, André performs with effortless artistry, warmth, and genuine joy. His improvisations are dazzling, his musicianship impeccable, and his ability to connect with an audience makes every concert feel personal.
