Come celebrate the work of Social Justice School students who participated in the ANCRD Voices program!

The National Theatre

Georgetown&#x27;s Center for Social Justice After School Kids Program (ASK), Ally Theatre Company, Ship and Anchor LLC, and The National Theatre Foundation teamed up to present ANCRD Voices, a 9 week curriculum that utilizes creative journaling practices and theatre for social justice techniques to guide students in finding their purpose, and advocating for themselves and their communities. We are pleased to invite you to the final performance of this program. Students from The Social Justice School will showcase work they created throughout the 9 weeks. Themes explored will include: feeling like an outsider, assumptions made about our youth, and the missions and visions our participants have for themselves. Event Schedule to follow. Please note: According to National Theatre policy attendees must be able to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance, or a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance. Home tests are not accepted.Event Schedule:6:30: House Opens - people will be allowed into the event space 7:00 - 7:30: Voices Unbarred Community Advocates open the event 7:30 - 8:15: Students will present short scenes, monologues, and sketches8:15 - 8:45: Post show talkback facilitated by Lori Pitts and Devin Smith 8:45 - 9:15: Reception with food, drink, opportunity to talk to students one-on-one
