Fr. Jorge offers a special cleansing ritual known as a barrida that utilzes branches of seasonal plants and/or herbs to “sweep” the body. The plant bundle purifies and prepares the receiver for a renewal, removal of dense energies, sweeps obstacles out of the way, opens up pathways, and invites our ancestors to intervene on our behalf.
