About this event

A theory of change is more than a tool or an instrument. It is a mindset and a process that can have a major impact in improving the outcomes of programmes.

This session will explain the role of TOC and clarify why it is an essential first step in developing programmes and evaluation. A well-developed TOC can help to identify:

• better evaluation questions to support decision making,

• opportunities for learning

• indicators for monitoring change and

• actionable results and recommendations

We will show examples of good and bad TOC, TOC red flags and Tips for developing good TOCs.
