During this 2 hours session we will go into detail about what NoSQL is, where it came from, and why it is THE choice today for distributed cloud systems.
We will introduce you to Tabular, Document, Key Value and Graph Databases before you get hands-on with your own NoSQL database using AstraDB - a cloud-native database as a service and the easiest way to get started on your professional NoSQL journey - no installation required.
This workshop is great for those coming from a relational background and wanting to get hands-on with a database that has no tables, rows, primary keys, or foreign keys
Session details:
- An introduction to NoSQL databases, and how they differ from Relational Databases
- An overview of Tabular, Document, Column Oriented, Key Values Oriented and Graph Databases
- Set up your own NoSQL database using AstraDB - no installation required
- Execute your first set of CRUD operations - create, read, update & delete
