An Introduction to Asian Hornet Trapping & Tracking

Have you ever wondered how Asian hornet nests are located across the island?

This event is designed to introduce you to Asian hornets, their impacts and establishment in Jersey, and the key methods of control - Trapping and Tracking. This training has been designed to introduce you to how asian hornets are tracked across the island. At the end of the session you will know how to set up a trap and will have caught, marked, released and tracked an asian hornet.

Thereafter it is hoped that you will deploy your new skills and volunteer to join the Jersey Asian Hornet Group of volunteers to track nests in Jersey.
