About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

coffee.coders() is a community of women who practice and learn programming together to overcome gender bias. All backgrounds, ages and levels of experience are welcome.

Why do we exist?

Our purpose is to help female IT professionals and learners to socialize with peers, support each other, and improve their coding and problem-solving skills.

What do we do?

We meet every 2 weeks for informal gatherings in cafe places, and every 2 months for IT-related talks in UCC. Our aim is to help women who either program or want to learn programming to trust themselves and overcome gender bias. We function on a flexible basis. You can join us every time or only once a year.

Who can join?

Any woman who either works in the IT field, uses programming in their work, is learning computer programming or simply curious to know more about it. All jobs, experience, levels, backgrounds and programming languages are welcome.

What to expect from this Coding Meetup?

  • Chatting about IT and programming.
  • Playing simple coding exercises such as katas or digital escape games.
  • Sharing experiences from our workplaces and/or learning process.
