About this event

  • 1 hour 15 minutes

To the best of our ability, we all have the right to make choices. Supported Decision-Making (SDM) empowers people to help them make decisions while promoting self-determination and independence. SDM should also exist within guardianship. SDM is having a voice in where to work, live, play, and spend your time and money. It's also about the "Dignity of Risk"- learning from your mistakes.

Join us to hear from The Supported Decision-Making Network of Ohio (SDMNO). This group of self-advocates, families and professionals is working to ensure that Ohioans of varying abilities have control over their decisions and the support needed to make them. SDMNO member, Celia Schloemer will introduce us to Supported Decision-Making, and share stories about its impact on real lives!
