Thank you for joining C4E for a evening with Will Hutton 7.30pm to 8:30pm Tuesday 20 JulyCheltenham for Europe is delighted to host Will Hutton on the evening of Tuesday 20 July. Will Hutton is a political economist, academic, author and journalist. He currently writes a regular column in the Observer and regularly contributes to the Guardian and the Financial Times. He is a fierce critic of Brexit and writes regularly about this predicted and unfolding disaster.As one of the leading economics commentators in the country, Will is regularly called on to advise senior political and business figures and comment in the national and international media. Will has had a varied career starting off in the city as a stockbroker and investment analyst before moving to the BBC where he worked on the radio as a reporter and producer, and on the television as economics correspondent for Newsnight. He then worked as the economics editor at the Guardian before spending four years as Editor-in-Chief of The Observer. Following this he becoming Chief Executive of The Work Foundation, the most influential voice on work, employment and organisation issues in the UK (2000 to 2008). Will has held a variety of advisory and academic posts, chaired two government commissions and is currently an associate at the Centre for Economic Performance LSE. Will has written several books of which the best-known is The State We’re In (1996). His most recent book was written with Andrew Adonis, Saving Britain (2018).
