CHRISTIAN NEWPORT:

Christian Newport is a Chattanooga, TN based indie folk/rock artist who has established himself as a talented singer/songwriter, and an exciting live act when performing with his backing band.

His backing band is composed of Christian Newport (vocals/guitar), Adam Newport (drums), Erik Fine (electric guitar), and Justin Ywanauskas (bass).

Since 2023, Christian has developed a growing audience in East Tennessee, and more specifically in the Chattanooga area. He has currently released a 5-song EP titled “Sunny” in July of 2023, and is set to release the first single of his new EP in the summer of 2024.

JARON UTT:

Based in the scenic city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, indie singer-songwriter Jaron Utt weaves a tapestry of introspective melodies that resonate with raw emotion and authenticity. Born and raised against the backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains, Jaron draws inspiration from his upbringing, infusing his compositions with a distinctive blend of indie, and folk influences.

The heart of Jaron's artistry lies in his ability to delve into the depths of introspection, exploring the complexities of love, loss, and self-discovery. His lyrics serve as windows into the corners of his soul, inviting listeners to connect with their own emotions through the universal themes he explores.

The Woodshop is an intimate live music venue and neighborhood pub on the outskirts of the historic St. Elmo neighborhood.  Since 2015, our goal has been to assemble and host a network of musicians and makers who are local to or traveling through the area. With our resources, they are able to create, present, or record their work in front of an appreciative audience.
