When Nora D'Amato impulsively introduces herself as her friend Benji’s girlfriend to get his meddling family off his back, she has no idea he’s expected at his sister's fancy wedding two weeks later. Rather, they are expected, thanks to her big mouth. Good thing she’s single enough to see the relationship through, however long it takes—unless you count a lingering attraction to Sebastian, the elusive hottie who frequents her bookstore (and maybe a few of her dreams).
Sebastian Rossi owes his friend Alessia big time, and she’s ready to collect. When Alessia desperately needs a fake date to her brother's wedding, Sebastian is quick to step in—she’s kept an eye on his Nonna while he’s been busy opening non-profits up and down the east coast, after all, and it’s not like he can have a real relationship while he’s on the move. Faking it for a week in the Catskills will be easy enough. Much easier than managing his nagging interest in Nora, the cute bookstore manager he can't stop thinking about and definitely can’t get involved with.
But when Sebastian and Nora stumble into each other at the wedding and discover they’re both there to protect their friends, they quickly become faced with a big problem: developing real feelings for someone else’s fake partner.
