About this event

America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride is one of the Most Beautiful and Awe-Inspiring rides that one could pedal. It is one of the only bi-state rides in the country, riding in both California and Nevada, on a 100 Mile Century and 72 Mile course around the Lake Tahoe.

Over the past 30 years America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride has helped support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's goal of assisting cancer patients and their families to thrive beyond blood cancer; raising more than $100 million through our Team In Training program. As we continue the legacy of this charity ride, we want to give everyone the honored opportunity to pedal for a cause, to ride for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission. For information and to register, go to America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride.

Circumnavigate the Lake

The 72-mile America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride circumnavigates the highways clockwise around Lake Tahoe in both Nevada and California. It includes a challenging 800 foot climb to a rest stop overlooking Emerald Bay and a 1,000 foot climb to Spooner Junction. There are also many short rolling ascents and descents totaling over 4,024 vertical feet of elevation gain! The altitude ranges between 6,300 feet and 7,100 feet above sea level and the ride is recommended for conditioned recreational bicyclists, not for beginners. Participants must be at least 13 years of age (please, no children on bike carriers or trailers) and must be experienced in riding roadways.

Most Mileage – Beautiful & Historic Century

For the more conditioned bicyclist, a full 100-mile Century is offered adding an out and back on Highway 89/ Bike Trail to visit historic Truckee, California, before continuing around Lake Tahoe. This century option adds approximately 600 more vertical feet of elevation gain (4924 vertical feet).
