This Dalit History Month, join us as we commemorate Babasaheb Ambedkar&#x27;s lifelong commitment to the transformative power of education for remaking social ethics and democratic life through a focus on American Caste. Our convening addresses the recent movement to focalize the experiences of caste oppressed persons in the South Asian diaspora and the social movements that have arisen to address caste equality, respect, and mutuality in its wake. The conference will take place in person and on Zoom. If you signed up to attend in person, please head to 116 St W, Columbia Journalism School, Columbia University, New York. Please make sure to bring your ID or Passport with you. Registration required. Please note that all attendees must follow Columbia’s COVID-19 Policies and Guidelines.
