Airport Marina Counseling Service(AMCS), founded in 1962, is a nonprofit, community-based mental health clinic that serves the LAX, South Bay and Westside areas of Los Angeles. AMCS offers community-based, accessible, affordable mental health services for the community; and provides quality training to therapists. Our programs treat over 300–350 individuals, couples, groups, and families each week and serve over 1,200 people each year with more than 10,000 hours of therapy. All clients (100%) seen at AMCS receive psychotherapy and case management. In addition, clients may utilize another program if it is beneficial to their treatment. The programs AMCS provides include individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, group therapy, the At-Risk-Kids Program at local schools and clubs, the Hannon Immediate Intervention Program, and the LGBTQ Affirmative Therapy Center.
