Your journey will begin at the heart of Athens city center at Syntagma square. Along your 19 places of visit, you will explore the green oasis of Athens and its hidden gems as part of your mission to save Queen Amalia's garden from a disastrous spell cast on it. You will encounter a variety of ancient monuments and neoclassical architecture along with the hottest local attractions of Syntagma and Zappeion neighborhoods.

This is a Hybrid Treasure Hunt, so you will use Narratologies app to navigate, read stories, fun facts, receive your riddles and clues to discover your next stop. Along your way you will meet our Treasure Hunt facilitators, who will assist you with the game play and guide you through hidden city gems. WHAT IS YOUR MISSION?

It's time to introduce you to Queen Amalia, which together with king Otto used to reign over Greece. When Amalia arrived to Athens, she longed for a garden as the one she had back in her hometown in Oldenburg, Germany. She created thus the National Garden but she soon realised that something had gone terribly wrong with it. The plants started withering and the animals were abandoning the garden. What had happened? Amalia soon discovered the truth. The garden was created above a burried Roman villa with a magical inscription above its entrance. It read: "Everything that threatens this household shall be destroyed". Your mission will be to help Queen Amalia break the spell and save her beloved garden!

Our exact meeting point is the fountain in the middle of the square where all Athenians meet.
