Alvord Astrophotography with Mike Vraneza & Sony

Join Pro Photo Supply, Dan Hawk from Sony, and photographer Mike Vraneža for an epic trip to Eastern Oregon, where we’ll capture the Milky Way and Perseid Meteor Shower under some of the best dark sky areas in the country.

We will set you up for success in shooting nighttime landscapes and Astrophotography as well as provide a demo of the day to night workflow for timelapse photography. There will be multiple pre-production meetings - held virtually - covering access and the gear required to trek out to this remote location as well as technical challenges of image making at night.

With the assistance of Sony Rep Dan Hawk and Pro Photo Supply Staff, Mike will guide you through virtual scouting, review software and apps for planning, shooting with post-production in mind, and discuss what gear to use for the best results.

Sony will have gear on hand for attendees to test throughout the workshop, more information on this will be provided to attendees nearer to the date of the trip!

ABOUT MIKE VRANEZA

Nearly 20 years ago, Mike Vraneža took what was then a hobby, went back to school, and jumped into the deep end… What started as a passion for photography and curiosity for the world turned into an ever-evolving career with countless commercial photography and video assignments that have spanned the continent, shooting an immense range of assignments along the way.

With over 10 years of teaching experience in both workshops and college courses, he has helped countless students refine their approach to photography. He brings an enthusiasm for photography to the classroom with a conversational teaching style meant to empower students in their visual arts journey. An avid nighttime photographer, Mike has shot from the coast to the desert in Oregon, capturing it's unique and wondrous landscape under the stars.

This photo walk is limited to 20 spots with a minimum of 5 registered attendees needed. In the event the minimum isn't met, the session may be canceled and registered attendees will receive full refunds.

This event has limited space due to permit limitations, as a result, registration is required for each attendee. If you are on the waitlist for this event, you will receive a notification, via email, if a space becomes available for you.

In the event of a refund, Eventbrite Fees are not refundable. Eventbrite fees are only refunded if an event is canceled.

Refunds will be considered if submitted prior to 24 hours before a planned workshop.
