Alumni Only Cuddle Up Event

I am a certified professional cuddler, platonic touch practitioner, and workshop facilitator who enjoys connecting with people in many different ways. I am passionate about creating safer spaces where people feel comfortable, seen, and accepted exactly as they are.  I also enjoy helping people to unlock more personal power as they identify their needs and unapologetically state their boundaries.As a genderqueer, pansexual, polyamorous, person of color; I know the importance of safer spaces. I enjoy creating these spaces for people of underrepresented groups to feel seen, understood, and at ease. Do you like lounging around on comfy mattresses? Do you like snuggling the cold away? If so, this might be the event for you.

We will connect, hug, share our experiences of touch, and cuddle. Everyone present will be invited to participate in a mix of intentional cuddle exercises & unstructured cuddle time. This is your opportunity to enjoy cuddling/ simply connecting with other experienced, conscientious cuddlers. This is a space for folx who already kind of get it and are pretty comfortable in this space. 
Because you all know the rules pretty well, we will have a shorter welcome circle with an invitation to go deeper. We will all have the opportunity to share what we are really working on/ towards at this event and how others can help you to achieve that goal. In that way, it will be a bit more intentional than the average event. 
For those of you needing lots of cuddles, we still have you covered. Because everyone at this event "has been here before," most present will feel more comfortable than the average newbies. For this reason, we will likely see more cuddling at the very start. Feel free to arrive at 11:30 am and dive right in. 
 
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?/ CUDDLE ETIQUETTE
Everyone needs to be here for the agreements. For this reason, everyone is required to arrive by 12:15 pm. If you have not arrived by 12:15 pm and have not called, you will not be able to join us.
 
Agreements
<OL>
<LI>No one has to cuddle, snuggle, or share with anyone. </LI>
<LI>In order to maintain a non-sexual environment, clothing stays on the whole time and fingers stay outside of clothing. Pajamas, sweats, t-shirts, and tank tops are great for cuddling. </LI>
<LI>Everyone involved is asked to make specific requests if they would like to engage in some form of touch/ cuddling. Please respond with an honest yes or no. If you are unsure, please say no. You can re-visit this request later if you like. </LI>
<LI>If you feel uncomfortable/ need to shift positions at any time, please let your cuddle buddy/ buddies know right away. </LI>

CUDDLE RUN DOWN (Rough Timeline) 
11:30 am - 12:15 pm "Doors open"/ Change into cuddle clothes
12:15 pm - 12:45 pm Intros, Consent Discussion (agreements), Connection & Consent Exercises
12:45 pm - 3:45 pm Open Cuddling  
3:45 pm - 4 pm Sharing highlights & discussing upcoming events

Other Notes: The exact meetup location will be emailed to participants.    
Your registration isn't complete until you complete the Eventbrite registration. 
This event is open to people of all genders and sexual orientations. 
 
Accessibility Notes: There are 5 steps to enter the first floor apartment where this event is held. There is a couch, a futon, and a few chairs available for seating/ laying alone or next to others. There are several mattresses laid directly on the floor (not elevated). With the exception of the couch, all furniture and pads can be moved pretty easily if needed. Extremely quiet building. No flashing lights. My roommate recently adopted a small dog. The dog is spending most of his time in my roommate's room which is where he will be during the event. All blankets and most mattresses are being kept in my room/ the linen closet. These are both dog free zones.
