Turn vintage postcards into a work of art!

Austin Creative Reuse Center

Participants will learn to take vintage postcards and reimagine them into a different type of art, without concealing all of the handwriting, the old postage and cancellations. You'll learn skills to create a truly unique piece of art, including how to "fussy cut" found paper items.T﻿his workshop is appropriate for those ages 14 and up. Minors must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.A﻿bout the instructor:Sam loves all things paper, from greeting cards with lined envelopes to anything that can be glued or stuck into Junk Journals (books). A lifelong crafter, she starting with making potholders in 2nd grade. In her early 20's, after 4 years of high school sewing classes, she worked in a custom bridal shop. She later gave up mosaics after her second hand surgery. Now, she loves the freedom paper art gives her.
