Alterations & Hemming Techniques

Description: You will be guided through various techniques of hem alterations using different fabrics.

You will learn how to: Shorten or lengthen a garment, blind hem with a sewing machine or hand sewing, edge stitch techniques, Fresser foot options, hand sewing options, add embellishments and using different fabric type considerations. By the end of the class, you will have alteration skills you can use for future projects.

Materials: All materials will be provided including sample hems of various fabrication**. Feel free to bring your own garment to shorten or lengthen.**

Who should take this class? This class is beginner friendly and best for those with basic familiarity with using a sewing machine or hand sewing a simple stitch.
